Skyway celebrates the start of the school year with our annual Ice Cream Social under the Pavilion. Thank you to our PTO & to Caffeinated Cow for donating (and scooping) the ice cream! Happy New Year, Skyway Comets! 🥳

Skyway Teachers were honored for their years of service to CMSD12. Kristi MacLennan (25 years), Sarah Bagley (25 years), Mary Runkle-Cochran (20 years), and Calgary Landreneaux (20 years). Thank you all for being the dedicated educators you all are!

Good afternoon, Cheyenne Mountain Staff and Families.
Below you will find a message we received this afternoon from the Colorado Springs Utilities that we wanted to pass along to you.
We are nearing completion of a large scale natural gas improvement project on Cheyenne Blvd. Many feet of aging gas main were installed this summer to prevent road closures during the school year. In addition, over 70 residential services will soon be installed along Cheyenne Blvd. after the school year start. Our crews are aware that school orientations are taking place tomorrow and Friday August 16th. Extra duty CSPD officers will be patrolling areas around all Cheyenne Mountain D12 schools to ensure the safety of everyone traveling in this corridor. The City of Colorado Springs continues their curb, gutter and paving work with more information here: https://coloradosprings.gov/cheyennestudy.
I want to again encourage safety and patience for everyone as we prepare to welcome back our amazing students for the start of another great school year!
My best,
David
Dr. David J. Peak, Superintendent
